JAST welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic literature reviews, and cutting-edge conceptual papers. The journal’s scope encompasses a broad spectrum of topics within the animal sciences, including but not limited to:

• Animal Genetics and Breeding: Quantitative and molecular genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and the application of reproductive technologies in livestock optimization.

• Animal Nutrition and Metabolism: Ruminant and non-ruminant nutrition, feed science and evaluation, metabolic pathways, gut microbiota studies, and sustainable alternative feed ingredients.
