JTSD invites original research articles, comprehensive review papers, and conceptual essays that advance the understanding of sustainable tourism dynamics. The scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following thematic areas:

  • Sustainable Destination Management: Eco-tourism, community-based tourism (CBT), carrying capacity modeling, and resilient tourism infrastructure.

  • Socio-Cultural and Economic Impacts: Cultural heritage preservation, tourism-driven economic development, poverty alleviation, and host community well-being.

  • Environmental Policy and Climate Change: Carbon footprint mitigation in travel, biodiversity conservation within tourism zones, and climate adaptation strategies for vulnerable destinations.

  • Smart and Responsible Tourism: Technological innovations (ICT, AI, IoT) fostering sustainability, circular economy models in hospitality, and ethical consumer behavior.

  • Governance and Policy Frameworks: Public-private partnerships, institutional governance, regional planning, and macro-level tourism policies.
